1. Who we are and what this covers

ModenZ publishes modenz.style, Jurnal fashion stories and Atelier Tools. Contact the ModenZ team responsible for this service at support@modenz.style.

This policy covers the website and these same web features when opened through a ModenZ mobile app. Additional native app features, SDKs or data collection must be described in the relevant app disclosures and an updated policy before they are offered.

The current website has no public account registration, paid subscription or checkout. Its AI fitting room is a browser-only preview, not an operational AI try-on or fit-analysis service.

2. Information we handle

Information you choose to provide

• Measurements: measurements and options submitted to the style finder are sent to our server for an approximate result. They are not retained as a measurement profile or saved in your subscriber record.
• Guide requests: when you consent to unlock a PDF, we store your email, requested guide filename, request date, consent date/version and marketing preference. The guide name may indicate the body-shape category used for your styling suggestions.
• Support messages: we receive your email address, message and attachments when you contact us. Please do not send sensitive photographs or measurements unless necessary for the help you request.

Photos in the current preview

The moodboard displays the single photo you select using a temporary local browser reference. It does not upload, analyse or save that photo on our servers, or send it to an AI provider. Closing or clearing the preview releases that reference; it does not delete your original device photo. You can explore the website without selecting a photo.

Technical information

Servers and hosting infrastructure process request details such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and access time to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Operational or error logs may contain these details. Temporary rate-limit records help prevent repeated or excessive requests.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide pages and tools, calculate your requested result, make your selected guide available, record consent, answer support messages and maintain service security. A guide currently downloads directly; submitting an email does not send an email.

If styling emails are introduced, we will use the separate marketing choice you make. That choice is unchecked by default and is not required for a guide. A guide request is not permission for unrelated marketing.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for optional guide-record storage and marketing; providing the service you request for calculations and support; and legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, subject to your rights.

4. Cookies and storage on your device

Necessary session and security cookies support safe forms, request validation and site operation. They are not advertising cookies. Session duration depends on deployment settings and browser behaviour.

Saved Jurnal articles, reading checklists and calculator setups use local browser storage. They remain on that browser until you clear them or your browser removes them, and are not synchronised to an account. Use the relevant reading-list, checklist or calculator controls to reset them, or clear modenz.style site data in your browser or app-webview settings.

The current website has no third-party advertising pixels or third-party analytics trackers. Disabling necessary cookies or storage may prevent forms or saving features from working.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-site targeted advertising. Infrastructure providers may process information to host the site, operate its database, provide security or handle support email. They may use it only as necessary for those services, under confidentiality, security and data-protection obligations consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Information may be disclosed where legally required, in response to a valid legal request or to protect users and the service from fraud or serious abuse. External sites, app stores and research sources linked from Jurnal have their own policies.

6. How long we keep information

• Preview photos: no server copy is created. The temporary reference lasts until the preview is cleared, closed or the page is unloaded.
• Raw measurements: processed for the calculation, without a retained measurement profile. Temporary result tokens and download links expire.
• Email and guide records: these currently have no automatic expiry. They remain until you request deletion or we remove them because they are no longer needed. Withdrawing marketing consent does not itself delete a guide-request record; you may request both.
• Local preferences: kept until cleared by you or your browser.
• Support correspondence, logs and backups: retained as needed to resolve requests, provide security and recovery, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the system and provider; contact us for details relevant to your request.

After deletion from active systems, residual copies may remain in restricted backups until replaced. Records may be retained longer where a legal obligation or unresolved dispute requires it.

7. Your choices, access and deletion

You can ask what personal information we hold, request a copy or correction, withdraw optional consent, object to certain uses or request deletion, subject to applicable law. Contact support@modenz.style and tell us what you would like to do.

Deleting server records does not clear local preferences; clear those on each browser or device. This website does not create accounts. Account deletion for any future account-based app must also be accessible through that app’s account controls.

Depending on your location, additional rights may include data portability and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Security and international access

Safeguards include HTTPS in production, request validation and limits on repeated requests. No internet service or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sharing information you do not need to provide.

Hosting, support and other providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must be in place. Contact us about the handling of your information.

9. Children

ModenZ is a general-audience fashion service, not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Parents or guardians who believe a child has submitted information can contact us to request removal.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when practices change and show the revised effective date above. Material new uses or permissions will be explained with the relevant feature, with consent where required.
